If you have been laid off, Wisconsin has many resources to explore for layoff and retraining assistance.

A GED and HSED can help you get a job. If you have not completed high school, a General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) can open the doors to your future.  Many employers require at least a high school diploma, GED, or HSED. Contact you local Job Center or Technical College about details.

The Wisconsin ChalleNGe Academy  is a 22-week residential program for high school dropouts. The program has a strong academic focus in which the attendee’s goal is to earn his or her GED or HSED. It is operated by the Wisconsin Army National Guard but does not require a military enlistment.
